"Nah, trust has to be earned, and morals aren't exatly a bad thing, most of the time." Kit said, a grin on her face that either ment she was up to something, or joking. "Oh, and, you'll find, if you hit someone after they hit you, or when their back isn't turned, you get in far less trouble." She laughed, still grinning.

"Beau, dearest, wouldn't you say I'm much too Gryffindorish for my own good?" Scarlett asked, pretending to sound patronized. She sighed dramatically. "Only when I get angry do I act like my house."
She remembered the day in the owlery with her old friend Farren, and giggled. "I get very scary. So never piss me off."

"You're friends with me," he pointed out with a small, wry smile, "that alone should answer that question Scarlett." He raised one of his hands to run through ebony hair, ruffling it more than it was already, "Myeh, dusty.." "It's the 'after they hit you' bit that i don't like very much," Chase stated, now apparently looking through his pocket for something. The pockets in the school robes were really quite big. You could keep looads in them. Chase probably would as well if he didn't have to lug his robe around all day, "just run to a safe distance and throw stones or something," he added, finally pulling out a piece of gum, looking pretty much pleased of himself because of it. Once it was in his mouth he looked chuffed even more. "Beau, is Jailbait a good thing?" He asked, slightly perplexed as his attention turned from the wrapped he was stuffing into his pocket to the grinning slytherin. Chase was going to invest in a dictionary of some sort, it was decided. It was gonna be top on his christmas list and everything.

Scarlett giggled at Chase, knowing he was right. "Yes, I suppose that does answer the question." He wasn't aware of how very Slytherin she was, though, even though he was her best friend ..

"Far too Gryffindor" he told Scarlett with a nod "Yes. But if you ever feel like your sliping into the realms of true Gryffindordom, I advise you hex a first year when their backs turned" Beau prescribed knowledgably. Again, why wasn't this boy a Ravenclaw? Clearly so bright...Ahem "Is it a good thing?" he repeated Chase's question, a grin playing around his lips as he cast his eyes down almost coyly. Except Slytherins just really weren't ever coy really, were they?... "Well I think its a good thing... Very cute. Speaking of cute!" he added, head shooting back up as he remember something, the grin widening even further, his eyes suddenly gleaming "you never repaid me for the quill I leant you in potions..." How Beau had managed to link the word 'cute' to the quill thing was really rather random... Beau was probably just relying on the fact that anyone was unlikely to try and make him explain it. I mean really, who wanted to know how the Slythies mind worked?...

Scarlett grinned at Beau. If only he knew.
"Wow, I have to say, Beau, that someone owing you a quill is so very cute," she said sardonically, lifting an eyebrow in amusement. Sometimes Beau was rather out there but she supposed that was why she was such good friends with him.

"He owes you a quill?" Kit asked in disbelief. "Remind me never to borrow any potion ingredients of him, or a bit of parchment for that matter." She added, rolling her eyes and shaking her head slightly.

"Oooh, he owes me more than a quill... I only share if I get something interesting in return.." he said, face bright with a grin, teh edge of laughter in his voice as he glanced back down at his nails again, pointed canines just glimmering and visisble through his smile. "And its not cute!" he protested "Its selfish and uncharitable to only lend things people on a price" he insisted.

"Um, technically, wouldn't you then owe Chase something as you only lent him a quill and he owes you something more than a quill?" Kit asked, now slightly confused. "You know something?" She asked Beau, still confused. "Your off your head." She finished, wishing she had found the kitchens instead like she had intended.

He laughed at Kitiara's comment, face still bright with amusement, unfazed by the fact that he was confusing everyone else. "It made sense to me..." he shrugged, a lazy movement of one shoulder "Chase needed a quill, I lent him one but only because he promised me something in return.." He explained happily.

"Heh... I'm guessing 'put it on my tab' isn't an option?" He tried, not having expected Beau to bring up the topic of his repayment in the washroom of all places. With an audience. But then, he is a Slytherin and one can't even begin to fathom what their minds are like, "and it isn't cute," Chase would side with Beau on that. But he didn't think it was selfish and uncharitable either, "it's .. Pratical?"

"No, for you, my darling, I'll put it on tab... Then you'll owe me twice as much -interest you see- but I can live with that" Beau looked quite proud of himself for this again outstanding logic. "Yes, practical! What he said!" Beau agreed brightly. Selfish and uncharitable were just automatic Slytherin responses. Like, 'why did you kick that firsy year?' 'Beacuse I'm selfish and uncharitable'. Seriously, there wasn't alot those responses wouldn't answer ^_^

"You know, your still off your head." Kit repeated, deciding she didn't want to try and figer out what was going on in Beau's head, infact, it might be safer not to. Rolling her eyes again. "And this definatly isn't the kitchen..." She muttered, more to herself than anyone else really.

Chase seemingly didn't mind about the interest, or his mind hadn't really taken that point in. I'm better the latter, Chase usually doesn't worry about things that are going to happen in the future. Worry about the present, it's so much easier. "'Kay," he grinned brightly, looking pleased with himself because Beau had agreed with him. Teh big bad Slytherin boy had pratically said that the pathetico Gryffindor was right. Hah. That made Chase prooud of himself, "Just name the time, not saying i'll come running to your side, because i'm not your b*tch," -cough- "and name the place, yea, tell me tha' too. Otherwise i'll get lost trying to find you, die and you'll never get repaid."

"No.. This really isn't the kitchen." he agreed with Kitiara, his nose wrikling, because thinking of food in a room that smelt this much like socks was actually quite nauseating. "Wonderful!" he cried happily. Anytime a Slytherin looked so pleased with themself had to be ominous, really, but shh! No one else seemed to have noticed that :] Beau had to physically bite the tip of his tongue to stop the terribly cliched but really quite tempting response of 'Its a date!'. "No, of course not jailbait" the last word was spoken almost inaudiably under his breath, and he moved subject so fast that maybe he'd never even really said it all.. "I don't know... Meet me at the astronomy tower at, saaay... nine?" he asked hopefully. Because dammit, even if he was a Gryffindor he was ever so terribly cute.
