Citrine sat with perfect posture on a cold, steel bench, her red hair dampened by the surrounding mist. The moon was high, and the weather was mystifying, her favorite atmosphere. She whipped out her current book, one she had pulled out of the library earlier that day and was already nearly done with, and tried to pull her concentration from the outside world long enough to finish a few chapters. Though it was no use. Her conscious knew what she was really doing there.
Stuffing the book back into her inner pocket, she sighed and awaited the next stop of the train. One of her favorite things to do was observe, and tonight she was in a trance. Perhaps she'd snag some lonely dinner. A foreigner traveling alone sounded mighty tasty, but she bit her lip and pushed her thoughts away. There would be no killing tonight. Screaming would only worsen her headache.
No, Miss Bailey sat and waited. She watched screaming siblings, giggling school girls, kissing couples, and stressful parents step off the familiar metal box as a sort of hobby. They were all so predictable, all so shameless. Fear is what kept people somewhat innocent. Without fear, you are but sin. Citrine knew quite a bit about sin, and knew she had little to nothing to fear. Still, there were always bumps in the night...whether you are immortal or not.
She yawned and let her perfect posture loosen. Stretching, she lay down across the bench and closed her eyes, awaiting the sound of a steam engine. Her thoughts blossomed away into the night.

Her shoes lightly crumbling stones beneath her feet, Ritsuka walked slowly towards the Railway Station. Her long black jacket danced softly behind her heels as the wind was gentle tonight. Chains lightly rattling beside her, she made her way into the station being passed by unfamiliar faces and new scents.
She never did like the smell of most people. Always of cigarettes, alcohol, children, or just plain boring people. Not to mention the smell of the elderly. They always smelled of cat litter or some form of old house. She never tried too hard to figure them out but they always have stuck with her.
She made sure not to bump into strangers. She really didn't want to have to worry about having her empathy freaking out at this time. Making sure her jacket covered her arms and gloves were tightly in place, she walked over to a stone pillar.
Looking around she noticed a head of red hair. For some reason it looked familiar, the shade that is. And a scent filled the air that reminded her of something. Walking over to the figure, she realized that it was Citrine! A smile crept across her lips as she made her way over.
"Citrine? What are you doing here?" Leaning over the back of the bench she looked down at her, ears pulled back due to the cold.

There was always an abrupt end to her dreams. Though she never really fell asleep, somehow she had the ability to lose control of her thoughts, yet still be aware of her surroundings. She could feel herself analyzing her dream, yet could not control it. She had been in the Forbidden Forest, and though it was not nighttime, all was black. She touched the root of a tree and it bled black onto her hand. Around her, life had become nothingness and she was alone in the world. The last one living, yet never to die.
And then the sound of her name startled her dream self. The forest tore away from around her and she froze as she herself melted away until slowly steam faded into her vision. She ripped herself completely from her dream and rose up in an instant. The blur of her movement was luckily unnoticed in the fog. But had anyone been watching closely, they would have seen her speed. She looked around, confused and dazed, and rubbed her eyes impatiently.
Through the fog, a familiar, thin figure emerged, dark but happy. Within the dream, the voice that came wasn't recognizable, but now the face alone felt dreamlike. She stared, mouth slightly open, and tried to wake herself up. Ritsuka Aoyagi stood before her, her face the same, beaming and familiar. She smiled and stood up wordlessly. She hadn't seen this girl since their 'adventure' in the forest. Loveless had disappeared like the rest, but Citrine had decided not to let it affect her. Like herself, she had been looking for answers.
"R...Ritsuka..." She said slowly, a smile still on her face. There was nothing more to say, or to do. Standing there was so much already.

Raising a gloved peace sign, Ritsuka smiled widely and squinted her eyes. "Haaai Citrine. Looks like the train is here! I think I know what you were doing." Smirking, she looked at Citrine right in the eyes.
Bringing her gaze up she stared at the small group of people departing the train, and the other group moving onto the train. Among the group getting off the train she noticed a middle aged man that was alone and having trouble walking. He lumbered over to a lone corner of the train station in the shadows.
Ears perking up, she smiled again. "Citrine, you were out here for THAT reason right? I think I've found someone for you. Unless, you're uninterested." Pointing discreetly in the direction of the struggling man, she let her tail poke Citrine on the shoulder.
"I'd love to watch you do your work." Letting out a quite laugh she let her small cat fangs show just a bit.
(The fangs aren't as pronounced as your though of course. Just like.. regular canines, just sharper.)

Citrine smiled and shook her head. Wow, so comfortable already. It was unbelievable, but it felt amazing. She followed Ritsuka's gaze and found her eyes falling upon an old man, weak and alone. Instead of intrigue, the sight saddened her. Weakened by age...with no one to support him. She'd love to kill him just to put the poor creature out of his misery. She looked back at Ritsuka and hoped she hadn't caught her moment of weakness. She had had the wrong idea. Citrine wasn't searching for dinner...just searching...observing.
"Nah, I don't bite much." She said modestly. "I don't want to be responsible for killing someone who has the potential to...I don't know, do something that'll actually catch my interest."
She looked around nonchalantly, making sure there weren't any dirty human beings getting too close to her. "I see you're not so modest anymore. Hell, at least you still have your ears and tail. That's good to know." She said with a teasing smile.
(Ahhh, Pretty Women just started. x])

"Hahaha! I see, I see. I suppose being convicted of murder would put a small damper on one's day." She put a finger to her chin and gave a concerned look.
"And what do you mean I'm not so modest?" Ritsuka asked, over exaggerating her voice to sound offended, "I just feel that my ears and tail are nothing to be afraid to be shown."
(Wow, I bet that was terrible. I broke my mind trying to figure out how to write that. x'D)
Hopping over the back of the bench, she plopped right next to Citrine and made herself comfortable sitting cross legged. Hearing her last words made Ritsuka's ears twitch in a rather sour manner. "Citrine, I may have disappeared for a while but I definitely won't even plan on doing THAT!" She blushed at the though and shook her head.
Looking out onto the crowd once more, her smile had faded slightly. She watched an adult struggle to keep their child in check, screaming and kicking while complaining about something pertaining to candy. Ritsuka sighed deeply, fog leaving her mouth from being so cold. "It really makes me wonder why you spend your time watching these people. There's nothing different. They're all the same in boring categories." She looked down at her sharpened nails and cleaned some dirt from underneath them.
"Though, a part of me always wants to leap up at an unsuspecting teen and look into their thoughts. To know what really makes these ordinaries tick." Laughing she removed her glove from her hand, exposing a rather pale and smooth hand. Her long fingers reached out and touched the light cloak of fog surrounding them both.

(I feeeeel youuu, Johannnaaaaaa)
Citrine laughed openly at her friend. "The nasty" as the two called it, was, in Ritsuka's case, a cause for the shedding of ears and tail. Poor girl couldn't get away with secrets. Citrine, being over 100 years old, couldn't honestly say she'd still have hers if she were in Ritsuka's situation. If forty years old were strange for virginity, imagine 100. No, Citrine was, interestingly enough, an "experienced" woman. But being born in the late 1800s, she was still a lady, and didn't discuss such things.
"Oh, I know," she said with a smile. "My Ritsuka wouldn't dream of shedding...not yet. But I'm sure Soubi will have his way one day." She looked at Ritsuka teasingly and poked her shoulder lightly, ignoring her comments on Citrine's silly little hobby.

Eyes widening, she drew back a bit and almost fell backwards off the bench. She could feel her face growing very red and she was lost for words.
HOW DARE SHE LEAVE ME SPEECHLESS!!!
"I'll have you know that.. that.." Ritsuka had her finger up, mouth open, at a loss for words, "that I won't see him for a very long time! And that's just crazy talk!!! Pfft! Crazy woman. Pfft!" She was obviously flustered.
The thought of Soubi made her shiver, but the thought of Soubi doing THAT made her uneasy. It was very awkward that Citrine would say such a thing! On such a subject!!!!
"Besides! You probably have done it already anyway!" Ritsuka was now just calling out guesses. She had no idea what Citrine did in her spare time. Maybe she was a necropheliac. She'd rather not find out! Ritsuka smiled a bit at the thought of a necropheliac and blinked a few times.

Citrine just laughed and held her stomach as Ritsuka fell all over herself. She was just kidding, but the fact that she was so flustered was an obvious sign that her comment actually meant something.
"Ohh la la, look who's blushing!" She laughed again and stuck her tongue out. "Ritsuka, chiiiiill, it's okay. I was keeeeeddddiiiing."
Citrine stuck out her bottom lip as Ritsuka shouted the accusation. "Sweet little Ritsuka. You have to understand I've lived for over a century. And I've been in love for almost forty years. I'm sorry to be a disappointment." She wasn't really sorry. Ritsuka had reason to be the way she was. So young. It was good that she was...still...innocent. So many her age just didn't bother.

Regaining her composure, Ritsuka moved a stray hair away from her cheek. Her cheeks weren't as red as before and she just laughed at herself for being so silly. Ritsuka couldn't help but keep looking around to make sure no one was standing too close or close enough to listen to their conversation. She was known to be paranoid at times.
Glancing left and right from the corner of her eyes, she decided that this just wasn't the kind of place she'd want to stick around for very much longer.
(God, that sounds wrong. D: PHAIL!)
Standing up slowly, she fixed her jacket and checked her gloves to make sure they were on snuggly. Taking a deep breath of cold night air she smiled again. "Hey, I think I might head off to.. well.. I'm not sure where." She scratched her head in thought. "Maybe I'll see you around some time in the near future. We always tend to bump into eachother. Haha!"

Citrine nodded and looked past Ritsuka at two teenage girls boarding the train together. They were obviously young, probably second years, but were dressed like common prostitutes, while also attempting to flirt with a rather uncomfortable security guard. Citrine shook her head in pity, wondering what happened to youth.
"Okay, Ritsuka. Guess I'll see you...wherever..." Citrine smiled and blew a stray hair from her eyes. Goodbyes were awkward, so Citrine avoided eye contact.

Kazuo stepped off the train quickly trying to avoid being bumped into by a crowd of people that all seemed to have somewhere to be in a hurry. The steam from the train leaving almost left one blinded. He walked forward a bit and looked around. On a bench nearby he saw a girl with dark red hair and very pale skin. She was alone so Kazuo decided he might go over and talk to her. Hello there. He said smiling. Are you waiting for someone?

Citrine didn't know how to react. She had to change her personality completely. Here she was, just seconds after the end of a comfortable conversation, experiencing another...with someone different. She shifted her weight a bit and looked up, emerald eyes wide. What she saw sort of confused her. She was so used to seeing the same old person at Hogwarts. Someone scene, someone emo, someone "bad ass." She was actually grateful for this one because she had grown mighty sick of the same old faces.
The question, too, startled her. Citrine twitched a bit before answering, "Who? Me? No. No, no. I just... no. Not waiting for anyone."
I wonder where he just came from, she thought curiously.

The girl looked up at him with shimmering emerald eyes. Kazuo was slightly taken aback. I've never seen eyes that.. amazing. Her glance seemed confused yet reluctant at the same time. He had to admit, he never liked how he always seemed to be liking new girls, but he just can't help admire the natural beauty so few of them still have. What with all the make up and all these days. He looked at her just a bit longer and blinked a few times. Oh, I'm sorry. Haha. He laughed sheepishly. The name's Kazuo Tobikuma. I'm in Slytherin. May I have a seat? He gestured to the empty spot next to the girl.

A slytherin. Citrine felt the relief in her stomach. She definitely wouldn't mind his company. She smiled a bit and gestured at the seat beside her, her red hair moving dreamily as she did so. Then she realized he had introduced himself. She would most likely need to do the same, she assumed.
"I'm Citrine Bailey," she said shyly. She didn't want to say a 'hello' before the introduction, for they had already been talking for a minute or so. How would a hello be necessary? She looked around a bit, nervously pulling on the patches of her messenger bag which lay beside her. She then turned back to smile at the boy now sitting beside her.
