Of course I approve! He laughed again. Who wouldn't? How long had they have been talking? Seconds? Minutes? Hours? He felt like he's known the girl forever but he knew that he knew so little. Do you have any other friends that know about your "secret"? He made air quotations and smiled.

Citrine's laughing had subsided, but she was still smiling as he spoke. Her emerald eyes were sparkling as he gave her his approval. She looked away to another train now approaching. The sun could be rising soon; she didn't know. She hadn't had a working watch in years.
"Well, to be perfectly honest I don't have many friends," she said matter-of-factly. "Besides Ritsuka, most of them are vampires, as well. Okay, so only two, but, like I said, I don't have many friends."

From hearing that Citrine didn't have many friends, Kazuo frowned a bit. Why wouldn't someone want to be friends with you? You're wonderful. When Citrine brought up Ritsuka, he got curious again. Hey, what's Ritsuka? You know.. she has those.. uh.. He felt awkward saying it, so he used his hands to imitate cat ears.

Citrine rolled her eyes as he called her wonderful. She didn't necessarily let this supposed "wonderful" side show. It took her awhile [awhile meaning a few seconds] to warm up to people. Then, once again, Citrine was caught in a conversation involving Ritsuka. Cat ears...he seemed to have forgotten the tail.
"What is she? She's just a girl... with special... traits." She was born with a cat tail and pair of ears, and they functioned like they would on the animal. She landed well from high places, and had trouble hiding her excitement. There was more to Ritsuka, though. Like the fact that she could see things, know things, at the touch of her hands.

He felt kind of disappointed at the simple explanation Citrine gave him, but what could she know about her that she was able to talk about freely? Man, what I would do to have something special about myself. Whether I were a vampire, or a cat person. I just wish I had something interesting to share with you. Bummed, he look at his feet.

Citrine could tell he was disappointed. A bitter, quiet scoff escaped her lips before she let herself look back at him. He was disappointed in himself, too. Ah crap. Had she been showing off? That wasn't like her. Oh well. She would have to make the best of it.
"Oh, come now," she said amusingly. "I'm sure there's plenty to you. Can you play an instrument, by any chance?"

Sadly, I have no talents what so ever. I've tried the drums, but I have no rythm. I can't play woodwind instruments, I've tried. And don't even get me started on brass. Uhm.. I'm not coordinated enough to play the piano and same goes for the guitar. He felt a bit embarrassed having named all his failures in the musical department. He brought his hands up in a I-Don't-Know kind of manner and laughed. I don't really understand though. My father had fantastic magic skills and was a master archer. He shot arrows like no one I've ever seen before and he knew how to lace them with every single kind of magic out there to make them invincible! Kazuo was smiling at the memory of his father, more like stepfather, and shook his head. Sadly, having lived with so many siblings, I never got to learn anything from him. I only got to catch glimpses of him practicing in the forest right by our house. Sighing, he traced a circle on his knee with his finger. I guess I shouldn't lose all hope, maybe I could learn. Since I've never once layed a finger upon a bow or an arrow. Maybe I have some secrets that I have yet to find. He sounded silly, but it was a slim possibility.

Citrine was listening with an amused smile on her face. She was sure this boy could do something and was just putting himself down, hence the amusement. When he mentioned archery, though, she sparked a sudden intrigue, her eyes lighting up, and a grin spreading across her face. It reminded her that she had another 'secret' that she had failed to mention. She lifted her soft hands to her hair and tucked it behind her ears, which were equally pale, soft, and...unnoticed by most, pointed. She may be a vampire now, but little did many know, her biological father was an elf.
Citrine smiled upon revealing her ears, and cringed as she spoke. "I hate to have to tell you this, but... I think I may be a little talented in that department too. It's kind of in my blood. Sure, my blood's pretty much frozen yogurt under my skin, but..." Her voice faded and she sighed. Then her whole body jerked a bit and she was speaking quickly. "But, the point is, if ever you want to try, I can help you..."

The thought of finally being able to try archery made Kazuo spark with excitement. Maybe finally he'd be able to find a secret about himself that will make him feel more important than just a mere muggle. He knew he had some magic in his blood, just didn't know how to harness it. That.. would be awesome.. He said slowly. When can we try?

Citrine smiled and put her finger to her lip. Oh, what was she doing? She had no life.
"I'm free when you are. You tired? The sun's coming up soon, and today looks like it'll be nice archery weather." She smiled at him, eyes glowing with excitement.

The thought of sleep was the farthest thing from Kazuo's mind right now. I'm free whenever too! How can I sleep knowing that I could be out learning something new. He laughed at how corny his words must've sounded but he stood up and stretched his limbs. Lead the way if you so desire. Or, we can meet up somewhere later.
(should we take this to another thread? haha)

Citrine smiled and leaped up from the bench, holding out her hands for her new friend. Let's see, where could they go? She didn't want to lose precious arrows to the lake. The Whomping Willow would surely not want to be disturbed, either. There was her favorite, the forest, but she didn't want to look like someone starting an unnecessary fight. The courtyard was nice, but there are all the statues and pottery...
Well, the poor first years and their quidditch would have to wait. "The courtyard should do nicely," she said with a smile. The sun was barely visible on the horizon as she lead the way to where they would practice.
[Meet you there, love!]
