The lights from the castle glimmered in the background. It was pretty late – around 9 or ten o'clock – and Edward had sneaked out of the Ravenclaw common room, desperate for something to do. It was s school night and most of the girls in Ravenclaw had made their way to bed, so Edward had nothing to flirt with. The boys in Ravenclaw weren't very entertaining either, as most of them were nerds who sat around reading all the time.
He stood peacefully on the bridge, and the moonlight glistened on his handsome face. Edward glared down at the calm water, which lay in the lake underneath. It added to the relaxing atmosphere. There was no need to be scared of the castle grounds at night, in fact it showed of their beauty more.

Emma yawned in the library and glanced around. She had to be the only student there. In fact, she was almost positive she was: she has hidden from the librarian during closing time. But she really had to finish her book, she had somehow fallen behind. Very quietly, she packed up her stuff and made her way through the silent Hogwarts corridors. She hesitated in front of her common room, she was wide awake. Reading about lethal poisons was not a good bedtime book, she decided. She turned around and walked briskly outside to the lake.
But suddenly, she stopped. There was someone already beside the lake. Silently she cursed herself. 'Times are getting bad and I had the brilliant idea of wandering around late at night. By myself. Brilliant,' she frowned. If this person was a death eater, she should report it. But who would believe her? Alright, so probably many people would believe her, but what would she report? She saw someone by the lake?
She decided to get closer and see who this death eater was. As quietly as she could, she crept closer to the person. Once she realized who it was, she was stunned. She had never met the boy, but she recognized him. He was a Ravenclaw 7th year. Emma hesitated, she didn't know what to do. 'Ravenclaws are hardly ever death eaters. But why is he out so late? And by himself?' Emma's lips twitched in a small smile, she was out late and by herself. She summoned up her courage, "Hello?" she called quietly, hoping she was not about to get killed.

Night, her favourite time,
A Puff of smoke emitted from Dakota's lips and a sneer spread them. She was returning to Hogwarts now. The Headmistress had ordered her to hunt on the animals of the Forbidden Forest. So why had she been in Knockturn alley? Because she had been forced to lie to the Headmistress,
Animals blood was truly revolting. The weak taste to it, and animals had a much more innocent conscience than Humans. So Koti's mind was settled. She'd been feeding on Humans for the past...5o years? And if the headmistress tried to stop her; sure enough she'd kill her too.
As she walked down the opposite way on the bridge, she smelt the two humans. But she was fed for the night and was in no desperate need for more blood. Edward Mansen. She'd heard about him. And the Hufflepuff girl, she'd met briefly. "Hello my dears." She hissed, coldly, still remaining her sneer. She took another inhale of her cigarette, tutting at the spilt blood on her trousers. Koti was so messy when she was starving.

"Hello what are you doing out this late?" asked Edward to the girl who had just approached him. There was small hint of nerve in the Ravenclaw's voice. It wasn't common that people came out into the grounds at this time of night.
Another girl approached Edward. She wasn't exactly the type you could call a girl, no the word vampire was a better word. Everyone knew about Koti Romance, and most people tried their best to avoid her.
A cold shiver traveled down Edward's spine as Koti romance spoke in her usual creepy voice. "Hello" he responded nervously. This wasn't like the usual Edward. The usual Edward acted big-headed around girls, but not this one. Edward wasn't another Leo Bryant. He couldn't play Quidditch, and he didn't date vampires.

Emma opened her mouth to answer the boy's question with one of her own, when she realized Koti was appeared. She instantly picked up on the boy's nervousness and turned toward the vampire. Her hazel eyes missed nothing and she noticed the blood on her trousers. Emma felt slightly faint, she hated the sight of blood. And just thinking about the poor soul who was Koti's dinner didn't help. 'Get a grip!' Emma mentally yelled at herself. Now was not a good time to appear weak.
"Hey..." Emma said softly to the vampire with a tentative smile, she had briefly run (literally) into her before. Even though it was obvious that the vampire had already eaten, Emma fingered her wand in her robe. 'Just in case,' Emma thought, sincerely wishing that she wouldn't have to use it. She glanced at the boy, who was clearly getting more nervous by the second, hoping he wouldn't do anything stupid. However strange the situation was, Emma was glad that she wasn't dealing with two Death Eaters.
Emma hesitated, but then decided that the best thing to do was act nonchalant. "So... what are you two doing out so late?" 'Stupid!' Emma thought. It was obvious what Koti had been doing. "It's kinda chilly out here right? Maybe we should go back in?" Emma asked, hopefully they would agree, and Emma could put this whole strange incident into the back of her mind.

Each peaceful step she took, was sewn with poise and grace. Koti was a beautiful girl, adapting to the fashions of the season. Because being outdated in the clothes department was unacceptable.
And it wasn't as if she couldn't afford it all. Her great nephew's finances suffered each time she went out. It was lucky that the Romance family 'earned' how much they did. Or, truly things would be in bad shape.
The wood underneath her heels let out a knock with each pace she took, echoing and slicing the cold crisp air. Her fake eyelash lined eyes flashed to Edward. The smell of fear, that stench that she oh-so adored. But then her attention was brought to Emma, "Well, I don't know what Eddie's doing out here, but I fancied a little stroll in the forest, nothing more relaxing. How about yourself?" Surpisingly, her tone was calm and relaxed, which only let off a more dangerous vibe. "Really? I didn't notice the temperature. Hmm..."
