The conversation veered away from ravenous blood thirst to Celeste's relief. She brought her hand to her neck and felt the tips of her fingers get warm at the touch of her own blood. She could definitely see why the vampires wanted it so much. The smell intoxicated her even and she had no part in the thirst that they were so haunted by. It was at times like these that made her realize the reason that Kathleen was such a prat at times. A cringe of guilt went through her like a sharpened sword at the last thought. It's over, she told herself. You can't change the past.
Smiling faintly at the remaining people Celestial got up wincing, intending to leave for the hospital wing, and almost immediately collapsed. Perhaps she had lost more blood than she had thought...

Citrine hardly had time to react as she watched Celeste collapse before her. Instinctively, she flew forward, and caught the girl under the arms, causing her bloody head to fall limp on her pale shoulders. The sweet smell filled her nostrils and again her eyes focused on its prey. Silver and red they swam with desire. Her fangs were inches away, tickling the soft bloody skin of the girl's neck, she could taste the sweet liquid upon her lips...
Strange, how the taste of blood could turn a vampire on. There she was, practically lesbian, letting small amounts of blood slowly dip in and out of her mouth. The taste made her toes curl and her hands were shaking with temptation. Suddenly, she felt breath on the back of her hunched shoulders...it was Celeste she held in her arms. Celeste's blood trickling down her chin. She hadn't bitten, only tasted...a hint of something wonderful, only to be taken away. She shoved the girl off and pushed away, slamming her own body, hard, against the opposing wall.
She wiped the blood off of her lips and licked her fingers, seductively, though not trying to be. Her eyes returned to their natural piercing green [no joke, they're really green] and she felt her fangs dull a bit, unsatisfied and annoyed. Silly little things had a mind of their own. She looked down at the bleeding girl with an apologetic, yet forceful stare.
"I'm sorry, but I can't help you. Get to the hospital wing before I have no choice but to eat whatever's left once you've gone cold."
The wind was whipping cold against her back, but her entire body had turned cold, tight, sharp. She was aching, but it was a familiar feeling, only stronger now because of the bait. She glanced over at Alucard, ashamed, sure he was so much stronger than she...[/sup]

Alucard watched Citrine attempt to carry Celeste and failing. She probably could have but the temptation swept over her like a tsunami. She pushed Celeste and Alucard moved fast enough to catch her as if they were playing some sick game of monkey in the middle. The ground being the monkey and it almost caught her, but Alucard was fast enough catching an inch before the ground. The blood so close to him now almost made him lower his head and take a bite. Perhaps I didn't get enough blood. He held his head back. He could do this. He tried to keep his eyes averted but the smell reached he tried to keep his sense of smell distracted by smelling the flowers a couple hundred feet down. His hearing caught the sound of trickling blood.... It was beginning to be to much for him. Maybe he could have just a nibble. It wouldn't turn her. He pondered this for a moment. Such a difficult question it was he'd probably find ancient runes easier. He opened and closed his mouth a few times as if to say something but it was more to bite someone. He would only take a wee bit from the wound already there. He was about to put his mouth over the wound when he remembered why she had fallen. Blood loss. He lifted his head back up and said, "I'll take you to the hospital wing. The nurse can fix you up."

Celeste tried to focus her milky eyes on something... anything... She was losing blood fast and she felt even closer to death than that night at the lake. For a moment it was almost as if she could see some type of hazy light but it was just the sun as she fell down towards the earth. Warm coppery liquid filled her mouth as blood trickled out of the corner of her mouth.

S*it, Alucard thought. She was dying. He could hear the heart speeding up in its final attempt to live. Her breathing becoming shallow. He cut open his wrist with a nail and opened up Celeste's wrist. Putting the two together to let his blood into her. A large amount of his. This would make her into a vampire. "I'm making you like me. You will need to drink blood and lots of it in the beginning." he said as she fell into a deep sleep one that would last a while. During this deep sleep your heart will stop and the change will begin. He set her down slowly. "I know you are probably thinking we don't need any more vampires, but I can't just let her die. She would have made a great friend to me and she was already your friend." Alucard said to Citrine. He couldn't bear to see sad. To be honest he was definetly taking a liking to her. They probably would have been great friends and probably now will if she doesn't resent him for bringing her back. She might have thought it was her time to go. "We need to get her to the Mansion." he said talking once again to Citrine. It's not like he would say this to an unconscious person.

Citrine watched in horror as Alucard slit open his wrists and Celeste's. She knew that she could have been saved, but was this the only way? Citrine had often thought about this...when one has no choice but to be what they have become...will they rejoice?
There was a strange twinge in Citrine's chest, a pain, if you will. It wasn't from watching her friend collapse, somehow that didn't worry her. Somehow she knew that everything would be okay. But as she watched him hold her with such gentleness...nourish her with his own blood...it was almost as if Citrine felt the cold stab of jealousy. There was something about Alucard...something that made her unafraid, something, something that made her wish he would hold her like that.
Suddenly he was speaking to her, and she was quiet as he spoke, sharp and quick. Her lips felt sewn shut, for she now was the audience. And then she answered.
"T-the mansion?" She didn't mean to stutter. In panicked situations, she grew nervous and stuttered. It was an unfortunate habit for a vampire to have. She wasn't even worried about most situations, but still, a lot of the time, she shook, bit her lips, and occasionally fumbled over her words. "Okay. Let's go, then." She pushed lightly off the wall she had been leaning against and took a step forward, waiting for Alucard to lead the way. She would follow quietly.
