A storm was bruing and the wind was stirring it. Dark clouds shaded the ground from any light. It was sometime in the early afternoon, but the weather felt like late in the evening. It was sprinkling only a little, but enough to get one soaked after too long. The storm had only just started, so it would get worse soon.
Annette loved this time the most, just before a big storm. It was cold, so she was wearing her winter cloak. She was well aware that cloaks weren't very stylish anymore, but she liked her winter cloak; it was warm and cozy and not one bit itchy. Underneath the cloak she wore a thin linen blouse which she prefered not to tuck in. She also wore a pair of worn out jeans that were a bit big so she wore a belt around the waist. Her hair was finally long enough now that she could pull it back. At the moment, she had decided to pull it back into two pigtails, but, sadly, the her hair was still too short that then only came out to be half pigtails. On off occasions, such as this, Annette liked to wear thick, dark make up, such as now. All around and to the point, she looked quite conspicuous.
At first, when she first came outside, Annette wanted to go for a walk and enjoy the rain before it got to extreme for her to be outside. But after the short beginning of the walk, she half- decided to go across the bridge(she didn't really have a destination). When she got up there, she liked the veiw so much that she decided to sit and take it in. There were no seats, so she sat at the end of the bridge and learned over the rail, her feet dangling over the edge.
Her feet were getting quite soaked, but she didn't really care. Annette reached down and pulled a pear from her knee pocket of her cargo jeans. Glutonously, she bit a large chunk out of the soft pear. The weather was "nice", in her opinion, and for once her mind was still and at peace. Not one thought entered her spaced mind.

Jake had been dared to spend an hour or more outside in the rain and the wind by his brother Tom and his friends. His clothes where drenched and his blonde hair was plastered to his head with some of the rain water dripping down his face. Jake had forgotten to bring out his cloak, and he was only wearing a short sleeved t.shirt, his jeans and trainers. So he was absolutely freezing. He spotted a girl on the bridge and slowly made his way towards her, he couldn't remember the last time he had been this soaked.

Through the pitter patter of the rain, Annette heard footsteps. Truthfully, she hadn't expected to encounter anyone durring her time outside, so she was just slightly shocked when she heard the footsteps. She gave a mute gasp as she twisted around to see the person behind her. He was completely soaked and not really properly dressed. In the shock Anne accidently dropped her half eaten pear. She cursed and twisted back to watch the fruit disappear into the murky fog. She cursed again then sighed.
She remember the oncoming person and looked up again. She was sort of lonely, so she figured she might aswell introduce herself. She waited until he was in earshot and gave a small wave. She kept her arm in close, her elbow hugging her side, trying to not look so eager. "What bring you out here?" Annette called, curiously. The guy was unfamiliar, and she surely hadn't seen him before. He was probably not interested in talking, depicting to his expression, but she felt a strange want to talk to someone.

Jake looked at the girl ahead as she waved and as he grew closer. He shivered slightly, Jason was probably going to scold him when he got back to the Gryffindor common room soaking wet. As the girl spoke he shrugged unsure of what to say. ''Err well, i was dared to come out here, and it so happened to be raining and stuff, and well i couldn't turn it down''he said running a hand through his bright blonde hair which now stuck up in many directions and wasn't really glued to his head anymore.

Annette's lips tightened as she c*cked her head. "Dared, eh?" She couldn't help but have her eyes glue to his messy hair. It was really cute, she had to resist the urge to smile.
She tucked in her legs and turned around. Closing her eyes, she leaned her back between the rail and tilted her head back. The rain sprinkled on her face and ran through her hair. Anne took in a deep breath of the rain air. "Oh, I just love that rain." She opened her eyes and looked back at Jake smiling. Truly, she was embarrassed, but the rain put into good of a mood to care.
She pulled her body back through the the railing and looked up at the strange boy, but who wasn't strange here? and asked. "Aren't you getting anything out of it?"

''I don't really enjoy the rain, sure playing Quidditch in the rain is awesome''he muttered looking at the still blackening sky. ''Probably only a cold''he chuckled. ''Aren't you on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team?, i'm the Keeper for Gryffindor''.

She gave a soft giggle. Tucking in her chin and covering her mouth, she tried to hide the laugh. Her attempts were in vain. Looking up again, she admitted, "That's really a horrible deal."
"Yeah," She said, almost astonished at the sudden remembrance. Making the connection, she continued. "I'm the Ravenclaw Keeper." She smiled. She didn't think he would recognize or realize her position. Being a newcomer, she hadn't been in a game yet.

''I'm the youngest player on the team, but the most suitable for the position as keeper, my two brothers are on the team aswell, Tom is a chaser and Jason is a beater and captain''said Jake. Once again his hair didn't stay spiked up and the bright blond hair flattened against his head.

Tom, Jason? Newman? Annette had heard of then, barely though. Wasn't one of the two getting married? Annette wasn't entirely sure. She usually got information like that mixed up.
"Same, here," Annette replied, "Being the youngest, I mean. I don't have any siblings. Well, actually, that a lie. I just don't have any siblings in school. I have a 5-year-old brother. Though, I'm not sure heal really come to Hogwarts. He hasn't show any magical potential." She hoped she wasn't confusing her aquaintance. But she didn't want to go straight out and say that she was Muggle born, even though she wasn't entirely muggle. She was a worried that he might not like her because of it. And she might still like him afterwards.
"I'm Annette, by the way," she said, remembering that they had forgotten the introduction part of their conversation, "Annette Brim, but you can call my Anne, for short."
